The Wind

The Wind

The wind came and froze my ears

Red they were

From the persistent hiss

Filled with depression, filled with tears

The wind came and my eyes watered

World a blur

From the wind that kept blowing

Icicles into my eyes

The wind came and blew into my mind

And I understood

Why it was unkind

To you, to me, to all we see

The wind came and then it didn't

And sadly, nothing changed

I remembered nothing

I heard nothing

I felt nothing

Nothing changed...

The wind came and then it died

No one cared because

It knew one word

And it was a sigh
