Chapter Two:  Reality Altered

Sparks opens his eyes and finds himself in SweptCreek Village, the village is ablaze. Sparks walks towards the burning remains of his old house, suddenly three shadows emerge from the flames, he focuses his eyes and realizes that it is his ex-wife Matilda and his two scarecrow children.

“Matilda!....Kids!”

“Daddy….Daddy….why did you burn down the village?” the two scarecrow twins cry.

“I….I didn’t do this…” suddenly a sharp pain goes across Sparks’ head, “….or did I?”

He looks around and zombies like the ones Dr. Lessen-Sanity had created are slowly creeping towards him. Sparks looks back and Matilda and the children are gone.

Sparks tries to summon his scythe but instead a sword appears, the sword has a golden-hilt and a black and red blade, and Sparks’ name is engraved in the blade as well, but in Demon Language.

The zombies surround Sparks and he slashes as many as he can, but he is suddenly grabbed by a bunch more and dragged into complete darkness.

Sparks closes his eyes but opens them when he hears Rollo and Matlus yelling his name.

Matlus is over him casting a healing spell and Rollo is pouring healing potions all over him. Sparks smiles “Thank you for waking me up from my nightmare guys, what exactly happened?”

Matlus reminds Sparks about the wedding, Xierra and Xeldwin’s return. Sparks nods his head and announces that the three of them must locate Xierra somehow, he suggest they go to PortCity to his Uncle’s old store and try to find if there is a way to track the family scythe.

Sparks walks upstairs to his chambers and looks in the mirror, “Why couldn’t I just be happy, why did this s**t have to happen to me, is it because I’m a demon?”

His reflection begins to move and speaks back to him, “Because you’re worthless.”

Sparks glares at his reflection, “I saved NetherSpace twice….how am I worthless?”

His reflection grins, “You killed your wife, kids and countless others.” The reflection laughs, “You even tried to seduce Matlus, just because you’re secretly in love with him.”

Sparks tosses a bottle of deodorant at the mirror, cracking it “I am not in love with Matlus Retu, I’m not gay!”

His reflection moves to a corner of the mirror that hadn’t cracked and laughs “You say that, but in your heart you know you’re lying.”

Sparks becomes enraged and holds out his hand, “FIERY PULSE!” a burst of flames engulfs the mirror stand and nothing but ashes remain. Sparks begins to think about the day he tested his attraction power on Matlus, how he was so close to having intercourse with him, and he feels his stomach churn, “I can’t want him, my stomach gets weak just thinking about it.”

Sparks exits his chambers and heads to the room where Matlus had been staying in, Matlus is wearing nothing but a towel when Sparks burst into the room. “Sparks what the hell is wrong with you?!” Matlus jumps back, almost dropping the towel in the process.

Sparks summons the sword that he wielded when he dreamt about SweptCreek, he slowly walks towards Matlus. Matlus looks at Sparks with fear in his eyes, “What….what are you doing Sparks?” Sparks smiles “It’s time for me to get you out of my life for good, you’ve corrupted my thoughts!”

Matlus is backed into the corner and Sparks raises the blade to strike Matlus down, Matlus drops to his knees and begs Sparks not to kill him. Sparks feels a sharp pain in his head and blacks out.

Sparks opens his eyes and sees himself standing front of Matlus, with no clothes on what so ever, and he grabs Matlus close and kisses his neck, Matlus lets out a small moan and grabs a hold of Sparks’ rear-end, the dream Sparks starts to rub his penis and pushes Matlus down to his knees. Matlus stares at Sparks’s penis and is tempted to touch it, he scoots back and stands up, “I can’t do this to Rollo, and I’m sorry Sparks.”

Dream Sparks grabs Matlus and slams him against the wall, and punches him ten times in the jaw, causing Matlus’ mouth to bleed. Matlus struggles to get free of Sparks’ grip and when he does he vanishes.

Dreamer Sparks looks at his dream-self and yells, “THIS ISN’T REAL!!!!” suddenly everything starts to shake, and the ground surrounding Sparks collapses, sending him falling into a dark abyss.

Sparks wakes up and sees that Matlus is no longer in the bedroom, he desummons the sword and walks into the hall.  The hallway morphs and turns into what appears to be the inside of some kind of monster, Sparks sees a body lying in a puddle of stomach acid, he walks over to it and recognizes it…”Eldwin?”

Sparks picks up Eldwin’s lifeless body like he did after Eldwin sacrificed his life to destroy the Zombie Overlord, tears fall from Sparks’ eyes and onto Eldwin’s cold, lifeless face. Suddenly a weird aura covers Eldwin’s body and it is then  wearing armor similar to Xeldwin’s but with a lighter color, and gold lining. The body becomes warm and begins to talk, “Hello Sparks, my name is Eld….”

Suddenly Sparks gets another sharp pain in his head and finds himself in his chambers, “What is happening to me?”

Sparks begins to cry again…..
