the meaning of my name

the meaning of my name

A Poem by Matthew Ian Herrawood W
"

best wishes Amy. you know why.

"

the following has been copyed from collins gem dicionary of first names

Amy-from the freanch meaning 'beloved woman' there was a 13th century saint with the latin form of the name, Amata, who made it fairly popular, especilly Among roman catholics. in the 19th centurary, sir walter scott's novel kenilworth, about amy robsart, the tragic wife of the earl of leicester, made it fashionable, and it is well known in britain today. A famous 20th centurary holder of the name was Amy johnson, the pioneer flyer. Aimee, the french original of this name, has been used in britain (see Esme).

The following is an original piece of work

The meaning of my name

The meaning of a name is a strange thing

The meaning of a name is your life

Your name is the one that will achieve what others won’t

But my name is different

It’s a sentence unfinished

A name like a heart belongs to one person

Until the time comes to give it away

The time has come to give my heart to you

And with it goes my name

So now the sentence reads

Amy, I love you
