Homecoming: The Death Of Saint Johnny

My heart is beating strongly

We are here all alone

Please wake

Me when you

Need me for we won’t make it home

Sleep as another star flies by

Sleep a night or two

For we are still alive

In the streets

Of earth

Where you’ve lost your homes

To the flame

There’s a sign

Of hope

A monument to the heroes of war

There’s a name

A number

The 1 1 7 is K I A

He had Gifts

And luck

The fixture of the covenant fear

What the hell’s your name?

Where did you go to?

What is your plan?

Did you die last night

Or are you really just M I A

In the crowd of Names

Sargent Johnson stands out like a flame

He says “I’m fucked so send me out with a bang

But first take down guilty spark”

Johnson died in space

He was blown out into the night

In a race against time

To get to the ship headed for home

Ki-ick his a*s

Ki-ick his a*s

Ki-ick his a*s

Ki-ick his a*s

Ki-ick his a*s

Ki-ick his a*s

Ki-ick his a*s

Ki-ick his a*s

Johnny’s entering Cryo state now

With the facility on the ship there

He’s listening to cortonna now

They’re in their own world

And soon he’ll be dreaming

They’d rather be doing something else now

Like remembering the dead with other marines

But his life’s on the line in the dead of space now

She’s calculating

And he is sleeping

Will somebody get us out of here?

Anybody get us away from here

Will somebody get us out of here?

Anybody get us away from here

So far away

I don’t want to stay

Get me outta here right now

Just wanna be home

Is that a possibility?

Get us outta here right now

(Home, home, home, home)

EARTH!

This life of war aint for me

Miranda keys

Well her father died

In the halo war and

Now she too is gone

Dreaming up a plan

But something went wrong

And she can’t help anyone

Cause now she’s dead

If she’d left us here alone

She would have made it home

After ten rounds of lead

I’m thinking

(What‘d she do?)

Covenant don’t like you

They really hate you

They hit you with plasma

And pierced your back

Covenant don’t like you

They really hate you

They hit you with plasma

And pierced your back

(What‘d she do? Do? Do? Do?)

Arbiter

I got plasma sword

I got a plasma Gun

I got plasma turret

And I’m in the phantom

I got a battalion of grunts

I got a troop of elites

I blew the s**t out the flood

And arrived with half a ship

I got a shipmaster

I got a new ship

And I’m here to pay my respect

To the chief who I left behind me

Left him behind

Who I left behind

Hey!

Here they come marching down the street

There’s a desperate Murmur from a heart beat

There coming back from the edge of town

A threat beneath their feet

The time has come

That peace is going nowhere

Nobody ever said that war was fair now

Warthogs and guns are treasures they did bear

In the summer heat

The world is spinning around

Around its spinning round again

Spartan 11-7 still aboard ‘forward unto dawn’

So send my home a letter say

“Come visit us in hell

That’s where were going”

Home

We won’t make it home this time

Home

We won’t make it home this time

I started F****n' running as soon as Sparky blew

We drove that hog

But for you and me

It wasn’t enough

Their Home

They made home finally

Home

they made it home finally

Home

They made it Home without us

Home

They made it Home without us

Home

We’re coming home from war

Home

We’re coming home from war

Home

Will we ever see home again

Home

Will we ever see home again

Everyone loves you

But The Arbiter left you

There all home without you

Remembering you
