Rocky Mountain Retreat

Rocky Mountain Retreat

A Poem by Matt Stitzel

Retreating to the Rockies after another rocky romance.

These mountains hold a secret I can't find on any women's breast.
But I've found a woman's head can be harder than any rock around.

My heart goes places that my mind refuses to follow.
Feelings you conjure up in me I find hard to swallow.

Nightmares have somehow become my memories
with no place to hide
These dreams like sandcasltes will wash away with the next high tide.
