Time Envies Our Love

Time Envies Our Love

A Poem by Matt Stitzel

Time flying by.

As I try to keep up and find where it was it left me stranded behind.

It may be the way the clouds are covering the crossroads I'm at.

Or this breeze blowing your glowing presence my way or something like that.

Wind ripples over the water and erodes rock away while it moves sand.

I wonder whether or not the wind envies the strength of your love.

I need an elastic heart for how much it expands with your prensence.

The way your wind blows your perfume in my face I know I've blown into the right place.
