The idea of a blog is comforting, the silence that fills ones head finally has a point of release, an escape, a drug in which is used when silence is brought. I never believed that writing was something to be taught or something to learn, it is more of a key trait someone has to dig for, once it is found, kiss everything goodbye and indulge in the bliss moments of genuine creativity. No one can take it from you, not even yourself, its stuck with you, so you may as well learn to tame the beast and push "Add Writing."

The title "Tales of a Drunken Cabin Boy" was brought about when Pinnacle Vodka kept me company one evening, listening to the soundtrack of "Inside Llewyn Davis." The song titled "Shoals of Herring" inputs the lyric "As a cabin boy."
The two infused birthed the beautiful disaster you read now.

While I sit here I wonder where to start as far as introduction, should I should spill the beans on who the writer behind this laptop truly is? I find it best to allow the imagination in which belongs to you construct an image of who I am, after all, whatever isn't a mystery is something considered bland.

My abilities as a writer may only be accessed when I feel at my lowest, as well as having a soundtrack to work with, if I don't feel touched, (and this may be true for others) then there is no point of me flipping to a new page in my journal.

Speaking of my journal, which currently sits to the right of me, obtains entries dated from January 1st, 2014, to today. Not everyday has an entry, in fact most are months spread apart. As mentioned earlier, I only write while at my lowest, but sometimes my lowest is to low.

Besides trying to relieve the venom in my thoughts, I want to relieve the reader of worries as well, to let you know that any and every emotion that comes your way is absolutely more than okay. I apologize for the cliche moment, but everyone does need a little realization.

I will do my best to continue the blog, if it takes a while, just do what you can to hang on.

Until we meet again,
