Yellow is going to be the color that saves meA Poem by Matthew P. HIll Indigo holds a mystery to the eyes of an African queen Gold traces her silk dress in patterns abstract and serene Vermilion holds the brilliance to ecstasy blushing cheeks Acrylic pottery full of bright turquoise waters dissolve my face Raspberry n*****s when they touch the first of air The mint of morning Sapphire earnings stud her lobe She is not a second hard of hearing Wonder loves me just as much Chestnut and deep ruby cinnamon Vivid slender profile bone white in the fog She comes closer she brings her vintage roses A lasting whisper What she said I won't wish to forget "See this sun rise?" At that moment I said, "Yes." "This is going to be the color that saves you." "Yellow" She lightly chanted "Yellow" "Yellow" "Yellow" "Yellow" "Yellow"
