The Face of God

In the evening,

In the heaveny sky I see,

A bright face shining,

A deity looking down at me.

And in His eyes I see,

All the wonders I could be,

If in His paths,

I would take a part.

For He knows,

He knows the depths of my heart,

Yes He knows,

He knows my end and my start.

And like a shadow,

Drifting through the light,

I shall pass on,

Just as day goes to night.

But He knows,

Where I will go,

Yes He knows,

The seeds I did sow.
