The pain.

The pain.

A Poem by Matthew-James

It chases me
I run. Hiding in
Darkness; swallowed by it

Rocking, crying, screaming
It remains
Running hiding
It remains

I hate it; I love it
the saddest yet,
my pain
I'm addicted to it
Infatuated by it

Stuck trapped isolated
It remains
Alone friendless
It remains

Days nights
Hours minutes spent with it
An endless struggle
we label as life

Running.
Trying to escape.
