Whiskey BreathA Poem by MattHestonI need a confession. I need you and me. I need an excuse for my hate. But mostly I need a drink. Because I saw you, running with old Whats 'is Name laughing and playing those games. And I saw you, late last night with out a friend I wanted to run and hold your hand but you were distracted and smoking second hand from that guy whos in that band. So I left for home and I need a drink.
* Like a gimp hoarse, just give a shot and Ill be fine. I dont want to waste your precious time. Ill just get a drink from the locked cabinet. Underage and undermining every one that I see. Some times I just hate reality.
You said you loved me. I was blind but now I see no one is as gullible as me. And I want to confess, I purposely ignored your text. Some times life is so complex. I dont want to make sense, Id rather just sit back with another drink. And another one, dont look into my eyes my kindness is just a disguise for my ignorance and impatience. If Im wrong just say so, but if Im right pass me another drink.
* Like a gimp hoarse, just give a shot and Ill be fine. I dont want to waste your precious time. Ill just get a drink from the locked cabinet. Underage and undermining every one that I see. Some times I just hate reality.
Where are you? Im so lonely. Im just a phony, dont be mistaken my life is possessed and consumed by my own self. Wake me when the silence is over. I cant be alone with my own thoughts, theyll probably kill me. But in the end itll be best. © 2011 MattHeston |
