I love you

I love you

A Poem by Matthew Ryan Hardy
"

I really don't know at this point what i should do. whenever i'm around her i get this felling, mixed with good and bad. good on the side that i could have someone that I've trusted for a while now.

"

I want to tell you,

But can’t find the right words,

You are very cute,

Words are harder to say to you,

Where can I find these words?

At this point words don’t matter to me,

They're just letters,

Mixed up to mean something,

Letters that you can turn into so many words,

The simplest of words,

I love you,

Everyone wants to hear,

Before they go to bed at night,

The words I want to say to you every time you are down,

The words I want to say to you whenever I see you,

I love you

Pros: Cute little idea here. A bit cliche, but everything is getting that way these days. After all, there are only so many topics to write about. I can sense your love for her. An innocence. It's nice.

Cons: You used the wrong "there" in the seventh line. It should be "they're"

Overall: Good job :)

"The words I want to say to you every time you are down," I'm a little confused by what you meant here. Every time she is down where?

I like that you repeated "I love you" twice in this. The number two often represents duality in literature. This works well with the internal struggle the speaker is dealing with. I also liked your description of words as just mixxed up letters, which is ironic since a poem is all words.

This isn't my favorite poem of yours, but it's cute and sweet, as some have mentioned before. Again, I feel like you're only touching on the emotions of the speaker and you should push yourself to go furhter with it (these short poems come so easily to you that you can afford to push yourself) but it's still good as is. Any girl should feel honored to be the subject of your sweet and simple poems.

There are so many levels of love, first and foremost love requires courage. Not to mention a level head. Believe me I know: I have been dumb, stupid, idiotic and an absolute embarrassment for love. I still survived. Even if my tears watered gardens of flowers. I like your poem it is love's first flight. So sweet and beautiful!

Sometime actions speak louder then words. Being in the right places and protecting the person you love is the proof of love. Words are necessary. But true love is kindness and tenderness. A outstanding poem. Thank you.

So incredibly sweet. I know it is full of longing, but this scarred heart of mine smiles as I read it. It is hope.

i figured this would be so cute, but instead it's a struggle for words, which is sort of evident in the poem, which is great, it that's what you were going for :) transitions between ideas don't quite work and the repetition of the line "the words i want to say to you" doesn't have much power, but i like this nonetheless.
