I Am Waiting

I Am Waiting

A Poem by Matthew Ryan Hardy

Are you out there

Because I am waiting

For our eyes to meet

And our hearts to connect

I pray day and night

For your safety and wellbeing

I can’t wait for that time

When I can finally hold you tight

Close to my chest

Feel your breath on my face

Glance down into your eyes

Knowing that you love me

When that time comes

I will be ready

To accept you for you

Helping you on your walk

Leading you towards the truth

Worshiping the Lord together
