Night

Moshe the Beadle was the first sign of danger

His story told to the Jews of Sighet

Nobody would believe him

Nobody wanted to believe him

Jews wore yellow stars

Jewish houses were tore inside and out for the thieves just to take any value from it

Jews told to pack their bags, for nothing

Their belongings were later thrown off their cattle carts

Torture lies ahead of them of the tracks of pure evil

“Jews listen to me! I see fire! There are huge flames! It’s a furnace!”

Madame Schachter was thought to be mad or crazy

But soon enough fire will be their death.

“Men to the left! Women to the right!”

The first act of dehumanization

A blanket of confusion was placed over their head

This was the last time with their families.

Everyone confused, hopeless

Jews stripped of their clothes made powerless

Thoughtless, no one could do anything

These poor souls were treated like beasts.

They were stored in blocks with bunks in them, like they were storing some item

Fitting 4-5 scared human-beings

No mattress

instead if you were lucky to have straw.

Hard work thrown at them

Ones who cannot bear with it are lost like a paper in the wind

Over time their own skin hugs their own bones

Fear of their fate only awaits them.

Rations of food as small as nothing

Some bread, some soup

Elie has suffered an immense amount

The experience that was put in each soul will always stick to them like glue

Hitler was the cause of this inhumanity

His voice was powerful, but not promising

Instead it was silencing, but not persuading

His voice will fill you of lies.

Holocaust

A time of devastation

A time of worry and concern

Let this never happen again and let it be remember  for all our lives.
