Friendzoned

Friendzoned

A Poem by Matt Blacc

For so long these strong feelings have haunted me

flaunting the rewards in store for the man who could claim your heart

but the moment I chose to act on these feelings

they were wisked away instantly leaving me

hopin and wishing I could turn back the hands of time

cause the moment you said " I just don't see you like that, Matt "

my heart shattered into a million pieces

my lungs drained of all oxygen

my legs lost stability

figuratively I died inside

but my pride refused to let me show it

the hopeless romantic in me flee'd

and in its place a misery-fueled rage

to make you feel how I felt

hurt like I hurt

yearn for my touch as I yearned for yours

to feel the joys and horrors of the torture you put me through

I wanted you to taste my pain

Alas, the friendzone has struck again
