No You Can't

No You Can't

A Poem by Matt G
"

I hope someone gets a kick out of this

"
"I can, I can!"
Said the little man,
The one they all ignored,
"I'll fly to the moon and sail the stars!
Find an ice cream planet with dreamsicle bars!"
But all they told him is, "No. Its impossible, you can't, you wont,
They laughed and giggled until he finally broke,
He broke when he was just a young man,
His first heart-break broke his impossible plans,
But his son many years later oh he could dream!
Of big tall towers and flying ships that would gleam!
Of space pirates and heroes to defeat them!
Of giants who drank tea and goats that fixed hems!
Of scary monsters and animals that spoke!
But the best thing about him was that he wouldn't listen when someone told him,
"No you won't."

This was such an amazing little piece. The imagery was great. I could picture the little boy and the ice cream planet, which I would love. Great read.
