Marooned

Marooned

A Poem by Matt Daalling
"

This is a poem about being lost in love. Its about how the heart can feel marooned but the reality is that in the end the finding of TRUE love makes it all worth it.

"

How seducing her sight and enticing her scent.

How amazingly soft is the skin of her neck

When the sun gently rises its now jealously burns

For the light that it casts silhouettes all her curves

How misguided the mind of a lovers in devour

To seek love as tormenting in the hopes of “forever”

Yet if hope is defined as the pursuit to endure,

all its misery and pain then just cast me a shore.

As the tides start to swell and the waves reach the bluff

As the storm starts approaching  and the skies open up

With the crashes of thunder and the lighting the threatens

Tries to stagger my will and divert my attention..

I remember the reason I am cast here marooned

That one second dear love may come rescue me soon.
