I’m Kara an eighteen year old girl from Albuquerque.

I’m your average every day girl when you first look at me.

The only thing different is when the night falls I becomes the only thing that can stop what goes bump in the night.

She’s not the only one who works at night.

Now what I mean by that is I have five really good friends that work with me.

Just to let you know the world has gone to hell and you can thank the government for that.

It all happen right after New Year’s Day of 2011 the government came up with a plan to create new weapon that would stop all wars.

Yeah I bet your wondering what I mean right; will from the year 2007-2010

The government has been developing a weapon that made a nuclear bomb look like a firecracker. But when they let off a test round they had no idea that it react the way it did.

When just the tester went off it created a black cloud around the world now because of that there are no days only nights and with night time comes monsters.

What we heard in stories and in movies are really true.

Meaning that vampires, werewolves, zombies, things like that are real.

So keep your eyes open as you go on the ride of you slow pace life and have fun.

 

Oh look I got off track now where was I before I started telling you about how it started  oh yes now I remember now how about those five friends.

 

 

Okay you already know that Me and my friends are different right.

So I’ll start off with the basics.

There’s the swordsmen: Me, Flora, Ray, May, Zero, the elements: Kara, Stealth, Ray, May, and the skilled fighters: Me, Flora, Stealth, Ray, May, Zero.

There now you know the basic back ground info on every one that you need to know right now.

 

 

 

 

My friends and I tend M.Robinson Academy for gifted students. M.Robinson is a  dojo like school where they train to kill all that is evil or at least whatever attack people and study the important subjects that are required to graduate and become who they are meant to be.

  

I think I’ll take you back to where it all started for these young defenders.

 

It all started with Stealth. You see I had just came back to town and that’s when it all changed.   What I mean is that I went away to learn some thing that is every hard for most people to learn. What I learned was to manipulate the elements with her hands and a way of fighting that is only known to legends. I’m also marked.

This mark is a crescent moon on my lower back.

Stealth had the same case but he didn’t come back from any where.

When me and him where in the fifth grade I was pulled out but that didn’t stop me from keeping in touch with Stealth.

When I heard that I was going to the same dojo as him I couldn’t wait to see him again. I hoped that I might have some classes with Stealth. I ended up make a few new friends along the way.

 

 

As the time for classes to start they started looking to see how many other people like them. A year had pass and I had only found five other people like me that can do the same things as me. I’m the top of my class and works hard I shows no fear when it comes to fighting.

Now that I have brought you up to date.

 

So now it’s the first day of classes.

God it’s the second year already! I said

I know its crazy how fast time flies. Said Flora

Hi Zero don’t you think this you year will be fun? I asked. Happy to see my friends.

Then out of no where Ray and May popped up.

Kara! Kara! Hey Kara who are you talking to? Asked Stealth

Oh uh. Hi Stealth.  I said. Your look good Stealth. I said

You know Flora and Zero but I don’t think you know Ray and May? I Asked

No I don’t think I have met them. Said Stealth

I’m Ray and this is my twin sister. Said Ray

Will it’s nice to meet you both. Said Stealth

May Smiles at the both of them.

 

Stealth turns to Me and asked if May and Ray are like the rest.

Yes Steslth they are like the rest of us. I said

I was just making sure that’s all. Stealth said

Ahh are you looking out for me like you always do? I  Asked

Um yes I was just trying to look out for you. Said Stealth

Will don’t I’m a big girl I can handle things on my own but thanks anyways. I said

Oh by the way I was wondering if you wanted to come over today after classes. I asked

Uh yeah sure I guess I can come over. Said Stealth

Hey you to lovebirds stop that! Said Flora

Uh, what do you mean by that?  Stealth and I asked at the same time.

Oh you know. Said Flora

Know what? What are you talking about Flora? I asked

You and Stealth make a cute couple I don’t know why you two won’t go out. Said Flora

Flora shut up or you’ll get an a*s kicking. I said in an irritated voice.

Why did you say that; how am I asking for an a*s kicking. Asked Flora

Because of what you said about Stealth and I! We’re just friends, any ways I don’t think it would be a good idea for Stealth and I to date! I said

Hey you know what happens when I date a friend. So you can’t say anything anyways. I said as I was getting pissed off .

 

God I was just joking you need to lighten up Kara. Said Flora

For once Flora you’re pissing me off with what you said about Stealth and I it was out of line. I said

Will if you really want to know what Stealth thinks! Why don’t you ask him for yourself Flora? I asked

Okay fine I will. Said Flora

Stealth do you like Kara as a girlfriend? Asked Flora

Well do you? Asked Flora

Stealth turned and looks at Kara.

Don’t be mad at me for what I’m about to say. Said Stealth

Why would I be mad at you for what for what you think! I said

Well Flora, I like her as a girlfriend but I also like her as a friend. Said Stealth

How does that work. Asked Flora

Well it’s like this, I know I can’t date her right now but she knows she can turn to me for anything she needs. Said Stealth

Oh I get it now you can look but you can’t touch. Said Flora

 

You know what Flora you need to learn how to shut that mouth of yours. Said Stealth

What the hell is that for I was just saying what you said? Said Flora

That’s not what I said and you know it. Said Stealth

I said what you where trying to say so shut it. Said Flora

Both of you shut it; it doesn’t matter what is trying to be said so stop this bull s**t fighting over something so childish. I said as I turned.

Fine I’ll stop if she stops. Said Stealth

Fine but I win if Kara hadn’t said anything I would have won. Said Flora

Stop it! I said stop it and I mean it you two are acting like four year olds. I said

Stealth went over to Kara’s that afternoon.

 

The end of the start

 

Stealth and Flora didn’t have much to talk about for a while until Kara

told them to quite being babies.    

Hey Flora what are you doing for the holiday? Asked Ray

Oh I don’t know yet. Said Flora why do you ask? Asked Flora

No reason. What about you Kara what are doing. Asked Flora

Nothing really just doing homework and other things. Said Kara

Oh Kara don’t forget you’re coming over later tonight. Said Stealth

Oh I won’t forget you don’t have to worry about that. Kara said in a laughing tone.

But little did they know that Kara might not make to Stealth’s house.

We’ll see what happens!

Hey Stealth you need to give me a map to your place. Said Kara

Uh no, I’ll be walking with you if that’s ok with you Kara? Asked Stealth

That’s fine with me Stealth it’s your place. Kara said in a tired voice.

So I’ll see you in an hour Kara. Siad Stealth. Okay. Said Kara

So Kara and Stealth went to their last class of the day.

Kara and Stealth are happy that after today they have a five day weekend. But they are also happy that they get to send some time together before the holiday.

It’s the end of the day and classes are just letting out. Kara and Stealth met up with their friends just long enough to say bye. Stealth and Kara had no idea that some thing awaits them. They have been having Issus with a demon lately.(that’s what awaits them.)

As they left their friends behind Kara and Stealth made their way to their destination.

As they turn the corner they came under attack by a demon.

This demon took one shot at Kara as she reachs for her two blades knocking her unconscious.

   In an attempt to shield his friend, Stealth unsheathed his sword to strike the demon. As hours passed Stealth fought fearlessly to protect his friend who is still unconscious. Unsure if Kara is still alive or dead covered in blood and badly wounded Stealth dropped to his knees only to see Kara stand up. 

   Stealth are you okay? Asked Kara

But Stealth didn’t answer as his eyes slowly closed and fell forword only to land in front of Kara. The demon kept on attacking even after Stealth was down. As Kara stood in front of Stealth to protect him from the attacks she ended up having to use her two blades to block the attacks.

Even though her moves where matched by demons, Kara fought effortlessly against the demon.

    Every time she saw an opening Kara struck the demon slowly wearing down the demon. After hours of dodging and blocking Kara finaly defeated the demon. Weakend from fighting Kara walked over to where Stealth was laying; still badly wounded Kara was abled to get Stealth to his feet with one of his arms over her shoulder.

Kara took Stealth to her house; it’s the closest place to where they are.

When they got to her house Kara took Stealth back to her room and laid him on her bed.

Kara cut clothes off his so she can clean his wounds and dress them.

Stealth is the only one that Kara allowed over at her house only because Kara lives alone.

Now if the school knew about her living alone they would not allow her to attend classes.

You see no one knows where Kara’s mother or father it’s as if they just vanished one night.

Kara doesn’t have to worry about working at this point in her life only because her parents are rich.

    It’s a very good thing it’s the holiday brake only because of school and how badly Stealth is hurt.

Stealth’s mom called to see if he was there and if he could stay for the holiday.

Kara said it was fine. It’s a good thing that he stayed there to heal.

Stealth’s mom brought by two bags of clothes and asked to see him but Kara told her that Stealth was asleep right now; so Stealth’s mom left.

    Two days have passed and Stealth is still unconscious. His wounds are healing rapidly; he doesn’t need dressings any more.

But he was still too weak to open his eyes. Kara went back to her room to see how he was doing; only to find him awake and moving around.

How are you feeling Stealth? Kara asked in a concerned voice.

I’m fine Kara! The real question is; are you okay Kara are you hurt? Stealth

asked.

I’m fine I’m just a little sore after all I am the one who saved you am I not? Asks Kara

True I guess it was silly of me to ask something like that. Said Stealth

So you defeated that demon on your own! That’s great your training is coming along well and to think you were the one who was afraid to fight our trainer. Said Stealth

Yeah I know and now I can knock him off the mat now just wait until everyone sees what I can do now. Said Kara as she smiled

So Kara tells me did you finaly finish that training room you were building? Asked Stealth

 

Yes it’s finished I’ve been working out in it; it’s been done for two months now. Said Kara

That’s good so show it to me. If you don’t mind I really would like to see it now that’s it’s finished. Said Stealth

Oh okay that’s fine follow me it’s next to my room so that I can work out right when I get up in the morning. Said Kara

Oh before I forget your mom asked me if you can stay for the holiday and I told her it was fine so she brought over some clothes for you. Kara said as she led Stealth to the training room.

“That’s fine. I was going to ask if I can stay with you for the holiday any ways.” said Stealth

Why is that? It’s not like your mom and dad are try to have another kid or something. Asked Kara

Um will mom and dad will have the whole family over and that means the little ones as well and you know how mean they are. Said Stealth

Oh wow I’m sorry for you Stealth you can stay as long as you want to you know I have a lot of room here. Said Kara 

Yes you do; I don’t get why you don’t rent the rooms you’re not using out. Said Stealth

Well if I did that then where would I go after working the night covered in strange blood and other things like that? Asked Kara

You do have a good point there Kara. Said Stealth

So what do you think of the training room Stealth? Asked Kara

You did a great job on it; did you even hear what I said Kara. Asked Stealth

Yes I heard you I have only one home Stealth and I need to keep it my own

renting rooms out will make me feel like I’m living at a hotel. Said Kara

 

Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind you and the others staying here but if I rent out then I can’t just say it’s time to go home I need my time. Said Kara

I understand now and that’s just fine Kara but you could make a little extra money by doing that but I don’t what to step on you toes about it.said Stealth

Thank you for not crossing me on that anyways I’m fine where money is concern. Said Kara

Ok if you say so I’m not going into it with you. Said Stealth

So are you hungry Stealth? Asked Kara

Yeah I’m hungry; what do you have to eat around here? Asked Steath

Well I have all kinds of things to eat it just depends on what you want to eat. Said Kara

Can you cook lemon rosemary fish with chips? Asked Stealth

Yes is that what you want? Asked Kara

Yes. Said Stealth

Ok then that’s what we’ll have. Said Kara

 

As Kara started to cook Stealth sat at the table watching her.

She started to cut up the fish, lemon, and deleaf the rosemary.

Kara turned to turn on the stove and put butter in the pan she is using;

She placed the fish in the pan and then added the lemon and rosemary.

When she added the lemon the hot butter popped up and burned Kara’s hand.

She turned to run her hand under cold water when Stealth got up and grabed her hand gentily and brought it up to his lips right where she got burned.

Kara looked at him a little puzzled as he gentily kissed the burn.

 

Um Stealth what are or were you doing? Asked Kara

I was healing the burn on you hand. Said Stealth

Kara looked to where the burn was to find a light red mark.

Wow Stealth you’ve gotten better with your healing abilities. Said Kara

Yes I know I’ve been training just like you. Said Stealth

Oh s**t! Kara said as the food caught on fire.

Stealth quickly grabed the baking soda and poured it on the fish to put it out the fire.

I’m so sorry Stealth I know that’s what you wanted for dinner. Said Kara

Its okay did you get burned again? Asked Stealth

 

No I’m okay. Said Kara

Well I guess fish is off the menu now. Said Stealth

So what are you hungry for Kara? Asked Stealth

Um well I was thinking Chinese sounded good what about you Stealth. Said Kara

That’s fine with me. Said Stealth

Okay I’ll call them. Said Kara as she grabed the phone

I was thinking that we would go out to eat instead. Said Stealth as he grabed Kara’s car keys

Should I get some money? Asked Kara

No I want to treat you this time and I want to drive. Said Stealth

Okay you can drive. Said Stealth

 

Kara and Stealth walked out to the garage where Kara kept her three motorcycles, her weapons, and her pride of all a 67 Chevy Convertible

I could stand here for hours just looking at your car Kara. Said Stealth

Stealth my car is not a naked woman so please close you mouth and keep your pants zipped. Said Kara

But Kara your car is as beautiful as a naked woman. Said Stealth

Are you going to get in and drive or are you just going to hump my car. Asked Kara

Okay okay I’m getting in the car. Stealth said as he got in the car.

So tell me why you don’t drive this to classes. Asked Stealth

Because I only take this car out on my long missions is that okay anyways I like walking and you know sometimes I take out the bikes. Said Kara

 

 

So Kara and Stealth went out to eat dinner and to do a run through of their asigned areas for any thing out of the ordinary. Each student has an area in town that they guard. Kara and Stealth have one of the north and northeast areas in town. Normally that area belongs to the werewolves but lately they have been having problems with the humans and their silver bullets. The

humans have been hunting the were-animals.

Most believe that were-animals are angry people. That’s not true were-animals are very nice and protective. Kara should know she has a few friends that are were-animals.

So Kara and Stealth went on their routine run.

Kara asked Stealth if he would drop her off in the werewolf’s territory so she can talk to one of her friends.

 

 

The Slayer and her blades

 

Here lately there has been more sightings of demons and vampires or know as the forbidden creatures.

So Kara went to go see her friend Zeal who is a werewolf.

He might be able to tell her why the hell there have been so many sightings lately.

So Kara went over to Zeal’s house to talk with him about what is going on.

 

So Zeal what going on what have you heard out on the streets? Asked Kara

Will the word is the forbidden creatures are planning an overthrow. Said Zeal

Any thing else that you know before I go and see J? Asked Kara

Just that there are some new leaders in the mix. Said Zeal

Oh like who? Asked Kara

Frost, Wolf, and Lucifer. Said Zeal

Oh I already knew about them, but thank Zeal I’m off to go talk to J. Said Kara.

 

Now why would you go and see a piece of s**t like J for? Asked Zeal

Because J is my ‘‘rat’’ and it’s about time I go and see him that’s why. Said Kara

Okay Kara but you be careful now there a lot more things now that go bump in the dark. Said Zeal

Bye Zeal! Said Kara

Bye my friend. Said Zeal

 

 

As Kara walked away from Zeal’s home Kara called Stealth to let him know not to pick her up then she hit a button on her cell and waited a few minutes for her bike to come to her.

As her bike turned the coner Kara put her cell away and climbed on and took off toward a well known club for demons and vampires call “Red ink’’.

 

 

As she walks in the front door of “Red ink” she looked around trying to see if there was any one she needed to watch closely.

But that’s the thing there was no one there but her; J, Wolf, Frost, Lucifer, and Louraw.  Kara took a step back and pulled out her two blades watching them closely.

So is this how it’s going to be. Kara said taking her stance.

Child what makes you think you can to defend yourself like so? Said Wolf

Because all five of you are standing there with a creepy a*s smile on your face. Kara said gripping her blades tighter.

J, Wolf, Frost, and Louraw started to close in a around Kara as if they are about to attack. Kara throws up her blade to protect herself as they moved closer.

 

So tell me are you aiming to kill me because if you are you’ve already have made a mistake. Kara said stepping up to engage them.

Why child you are very smart but might I ask what makes you think we’ve already made a mistake? Asked Louraw

Because all of do not have and weapons on you and you are backing me in to a corner with my back against the wall. Said Kara

That means I can fight you better; knowing that you might want to forget about fighting me. Said Kara

So make you move old man. Said Kara

 

Hahaha you really think you can fight us child. Louraw Said in a laughing tone.

Correction I don’t think I know that I can fight you and that I will defeat you and anyone else that gets in my way of keeping things in order. Said Kara

You child are very determined and that can end up bringing your demise. Said Wolf with a smirk

Determined not likely. I would have to say strong-willed. Said Kara

J, Wolf, Frost, and Louraw moved closer to Kara closing in around her forcing her back against the wall as she stood in her stance ready to protect herself.

You know this is a game of cat and mouse. Said J as he lunged toward Kara

Kara moved very quickly cutting off J’s head.

Wolf, Frost, and Louraw moved back as J’s head rolled between Wolf’s legs staring up at him. Wolf looked down at the head then back up at Kara.

Now tell me do you really think you can win against me? Asked Kara

Lucifer stood to the side watching everyone move.

Frost moved quickly towards Kara to attack her.

Kara moved quickly to dodge Frost pushing her blade right in to his heart killing him.

As Frost fell to the floor Louraw move to attack Kara. Seeing Louraw’s move Kara swung her blades cuting Louraw across the chest making him step back.

As Louraw and Wolf stand there Kara stood straight up and looked at them breathing heavy. So do you guys give up yet because this is wasting my energy and my time? Kara said.

Wolf sneered at Kara as he ran towards Kara.

Kara jumped over him cutting him down the middle spliting him in half causing all his inside to fall out on to the floor in a bloody mess.

 

 

As Kara landed in his blood she started walking toward Louraw with her blades at her side. As she walked twords him she brought up one of her blades to point at his throat. You’re next Louraw and it’s not going to be pretty. Said Kara

Louraw took a step forward pushing the tip of her blade hard against the skin of his neck. If you’re going to kill me do it before I kill you. Said Louraw

Fine! Kara said as she pushed the blade throw his neck as she cut off his head.

 

Kara looked up at Lucifer and whipped off her blades on her pants leg.

Hello old friend long time no see Lucifer. Kara said as she walked up to Lucifer putting her blades back in their sheath.

It is good to see you again Kara you have gotten much better at fighting.  Said Lucifer

Yeah will that’s why you put me in the dojo right! Said Kara

Yes and for you to learn some discipline that you needed. Said Lucifer

Ha! Like I needed any more discipline no thanks to you and my father.  Kara said.

Yeah but what if I hadn’t been so hard on you; would you have been able to deal with both of your parents disappearing? Asked Lucifer

Ah true I probably would not half as well as I did being who I am now. Said Kara

 

Maybe but I have always thought you where strong and you have proven that to me. Said Lucifer

You really think that way of me? Asked Kara

Yea I do you where my best student and you’ll forever be my best student! Said Lucifer

Kara smiled up at Lucifer and yawned at the same time.

Come on lets get you back to your friends where you can rest. Said Lucifer

I am a little tired for some reason and I don’t know why. Said Kara

Will you just killed a few very powerful vampires you should be tired little one. Said Lucifer

 

Kara and Lucifer walked out to the front of the “Red Ink” where their vehicles are. Kara yawned once more as she walked tword her bike as Lucifer walked tword his truck.

Kara why don’t I take you home I think you’re too tired to drive you bike. Said Lucifer

But Lucifer I’ll be fine. Said Kara

No Kara you’re not okay you’re riding with me and later I’ll send Zeal down here to get your bike okay! Said Lucifer

Okay fine you win like you always do. Said Kara

 

Thank you so much little one now here let me help you into the truck. Said Lucifer

 

As Lucifer helped Kara into his truck Lucifer notice that Kara was paler then she was in the bar so he steped back and looked her up and down noticing she has cuts all over her and that she has lost a lot of blood noticing all that is wrong Lucifer call Zeal and told him whats going on and told him to come and get her bike.  As Lucifer left “Red Ink” he called Una to let her know he was on his way with Kara.

 

Lucifer rushed his way to Una’s hoping to help Kara in time.

As Kara layed in the passengers set wounded and barely holeding on.

Lucifer closely watch Kara as he drove once he pulled into the drive way Una was outside waiting for him with Ray and Zero to help bring in Kara. 

Lucifer got out and ran to the other of the car where Kara is at.

As Lucifer started to pull Kara Ray and Zero came over to help him.

Ray grabbed Kara from Lucifer. 

Zero turned and looked for Lucifer who was run right behind Ray and Una.

 

Una told Ray to lay Kara on the table and to get Lucifer and Zero out of the room. As Ray laid Kara on the table he asked Zero to get Lucifer out of the room while he got Kara ready for Una to tend to her. Una walked over to see how deep Kara’s cuts are.  Okay Ray I need you to join the other two because I have to take off Kara’s clothes.

 

Okay Una that’s fine I’ll go let the others know whats going on. Ray said

Thank you for doing that for me just tells everyone that once I’m done I’ll be out there to update them. Una said

that’s fine I’ll see you when you’re done. Ray said

Okay Kara I know that you can’t say any thing but I just wanted to let you that this will most likely hurt like hell. Una said

 

Una started to clean up Kara’s wounds one by one stitching ones that needed to be stitched.  Hours passed by before Una was finished with taking care of Kara. Una pulled a blanket over Kara to keep her warm.

Una left the room to go talk to the other about what is going on with Kara.

So Kara will be fine but she needs rest for now; I’ll let you know when she is up so you can go see her. Una said

Did any one let Stealth know whats going on? Una said

No but I’ll go do that now. Zero said

Okay that would be great, now Lucifer calm down Kara is fine. Una said

Zero went in to the other room and called Stealth.

Are you sure Una?  Lucifer asked

Yes now go down stairs and rest the sun will be up soon and we don’t need you bursting in to flames now do we! Una demanded

Okay Una I’ll go just come let me know when she is awake. Lucifer asked.

Okay I’ll do that for you. Una said

Ray can you help me fine some new clothes for Kara when she wakes up? Una asked

Okay what size is she in shirt and pant? Asked Ray

Um hold on she’s a midum in shirts and she is a size twelve in pants. Said Una

Una would you get the under items for Kara? Asked Ray

Kara doesn’t need any I left thoes on her. Said Una

Okay well here is a top and a pare of  pants. Said Ray

Okay thank you. Said Una

 

A hour has passed when Una herd the door-bell rang as she got up to see who it was when she found Kara up and walking around with the blanket wrapped around her to cover her. As Kara leaned on the wall Una asked her if she needs to set down! Kara shook her head and then start to walk tward where Una was sitting. Una answered the door to find Stealth standing there. Una let him in so he could see Kara sitting there brushing her hair. Stealth ran over to Kara to see how badly hurt she is.

Kara just looked at him as he looked her over frantically.

 

As Kara looked at him he placesd his hands on either side of Kara’s face and kissed her gently on the lips.  As he pulled away Kara slightly blushes and looks away from him. Stealth  move his hand to turning her face so he can look into her eyes and smiled at her. Kara smiled back at him as she got up. Kara looked at Una and asked if she could take a shower.

Yes you can Kara we even pulled out a top and a pear of pants for you. Said Una

Ray handed  Kara the cloths and showed her where the shower is.

Thank you Ray. Kara said as she was closing the door.

She layed the clothes down and started the shower as she stepped in letting the warm water run over ever inch of her body rinsing off the dryed blood. She looked at all the cuts on her body then she start to take out the sitching Una did. As each sitch came out the wounds would heal instenly, she took a bar of soap and starts to wash her self off. Once she was done she got out and got dressed.

Once she was done picking up the bathroom Kara came out to where the others are. Kara looked around to see who was all there. Kara turned to Una and asked where Lucifer was? He’s down stairs reating I didn’t need him to burst into flames so I told him to go rest. Said Una

Oh okay I just wanted to know where was so I could thank him. Said Kara

Kara went to join everyone when Una noticed all the sitching where gone. What happened to the stitches? Asked Una

 

I took them out they where bugging me but as you can see all my cuts are gone. Said  Kara

 

Una looked Kara up and down in shocked.

How is that possible how did you do that? Asked Una

Um well Una I’m different from everyone because of my parents. Sid Kara   

What do you mean. asked Una

Yes please do tell if may speck for everyone when I say that. Said Zeal 

Ok very well. Said Kara as she sat down on the floor in front of every one.

Before I star can I get some thing to drink? Asked Kara

Una got up and got her a botle of water.

Here you go. Said Una

Thank you Una. Said Kara

 

Okay it all started when I was young at that time I was in the fifth grade and I was friends with stealth then too.  One night there was a fire in my house I woke up because the smell of smoke. I remember trying to fine my parents but I couldn’t I ended up finding a stranger in their room. I screamed when I saw them when I turn to run away burning light covered me then it went dark. I remember waking up in Lucifer’s arms.

That’s when he took me away protect me from the people who took my parents. As the years pass and I grow so did my powers it was hard to attend school and make friends when you can heal quickly. And that’s when I came back here. You see my parents and I are the las of our kind; we are a rare race of humans know as immortal beings once desndents of great vampire hunters.

By my parents choosed a different path then being slayers of just vampires. They tought me that if they don’t try and harm you first then don’t go after them. They also left a book to me of vampires that might try and disrupt the oder of things and so far I  have kill four of them. But there is a hell of a lot more them I thought. It seems this war they told me about is coming true and that means we will have to fight soon.

 

Kara took a drink off her water. So how does everyone feel now that you know whats going on. Not that I blame you but that’s the truth. Said Kara

Your not shiting us are you Kara? Asked Zero

No and I wish I was because then I wouldn’t have to worry about who I can trust. Said Kara

What do you mean by who you can trust? Asked Zeal

 

 

Don’t worry about who I call my friends. Said Kara

Though its not going to be safe for you of you who call me your friend to go home now my place is safe and so is the temple and a few other places too but I need to make sure they are. Said Kara

What are we going to do now Kara? Asked Ray

This is what we are going to do while it is still day light; Ray you go home and get May and any one else you can grab and go to the temple, Zero, Zeal, and Una go to my place Stealth and I will transfer Lucifer in Stealths truck to my place we’ll be there in a hour. Kara said as she looked ever one over.

Is there any one who don’t under stand whats going on and what needs to happen. Asked Kara

Every one looked at each to see who didn’t get whats going.

Okay so every one is on the same page I don’t want to leave any one behind this well be dangerous and I know this will be hard your some you who haven’t had the trainning like some of ue have but if you stay close we’ll protect you as best as we can. Said Kara

Its 6:39 now we need to get moving before its to dark. Said Kara

 

It was about 7:20 by the time everyone had left now it was just Kara and Stealth wait for it to be dark enough for it safe to move Lucifer with out burning him. Stealth traced Kare’s body with his eyes as she sat across from him reading in a book Una had laying on the table near the coach.  Kara looked up when she heard the basment door open. Kara went to get up when Lucifer appeared in front of her smiling down at her. Kara looked up and smiled as she stood to hug him. Time is coming quick little one. Said Lucifer

Hmm, what do you mean by that Lucifer? Kara asked as she looked at him.

 

Your Mother’s beaut fall on you more as you use your powers. Said Lucifer

Oh so dose that mean you’ll teach me now? Asked Kara

 Lucifer look down at her and smiled. When you are stonger I’ll but untill then you will have to wait. Said Lucifer

That’s  what you tell me every time I do something new with my powers Lucifer. Kara said as she stould up and walked towards the front door.

Stealth went to fallow her when Lucifer steped in front  of him.         

Stealth stopped and looked at him before he started walking again.

Okay so I have told every one to head over to my place or the temple. Said Kara

 

So this is what I’m think we should do. Kara said as she turn to look at the two of them. I’ll ride with Lucifer and Stealth I want you to head out the all the places where any one might be hiding and bring to my place or the temple. Kara said as she walked out to the cars.

Why don’t you go with me Kara? Stealth asked as he opened the door of his car.  Kara looked to Lucifer and then to Stealth. Um I just thought you would want to do that on you own. Said Kara

 

No not really not with what is going on, I mean if I’m going to die I don’t want to go down alone. Stealth said looking at Kara
Kara turned and hugged Lucifer goodbye.

Kara ran of to Stealth’s car. So is this our first date or our last? Kara aske with a smile. Not funny and if I’m not mistake our first date whas Chinese. Stealth said smiling back at her. Will then lets go and get things done that needs to be done.

Lucifer pulled out fist and heading in his destined direction. Kara and Stealth sat in the car for a moment. So Stealth why did you want me to come with you really? Asked Kara as she buckled up. Like I said I didn’t want to be alone if I die. Stealth said as he started up the car.  Okay if that’s really what is. Said Kara

 

Stealth as looks over at Kara as he sighs. Whats wong? Kara asked as she noticed that he was looking at her or more like watching her.

It’s nothing really I’m ok really I’m just a little anxious about what might happen with everything that is going on that’s all. Stealth said as he smiled oddly at her. Kara looks up at him and laughs. What kind of smile is that?

Kara asked as she contuned to laugh. If I didn’t know better I would say that you’re hiding something. Kara said as she looked up at him smiling softly.

No, no I’m not hiding anything! What makes you thing I’m hiding any thing from you? Stealth asked nervously.

If that is true then please tell me why you are sweating and why are you so jumpy? Asked Kara as she fought back a small giggle.

It’s nothing really and that’s final! Said Stealth as he backed out of the drive way.

Okay Stealth I’ll drop it but I was starting to think it was cute how much you where blushing and how nervous you where getting. Kara said as she giggled at Stealth.  Really? You really think I’m being cute? Stealth asked a little confused.

 Yes I really think your cute when your upset like you just where. Said Kara

What why? How do you think that’s cute; I mean what is it that make me cute in that way? Stealth asked as he started to head in the dirction of the temple and Kara’s home.

Um will when you start to blush the dimple on your forehead tends to twitch a little.

And when your really nervouse you start to bite your bottom lip. Kara said as she started to giggle.

What? You really think all that is cute? Stealth asked as he contuned to drive stightly smiling.

Yes I think all of it is cute; I mean will I guess what I’m trying to say is I’m in love with you Stealth. Said Kara as she blushed and turn to look away from him.

Huh? Wait what your what? Um wow! Really? Stealth asked as he pulled in to the drive way of the temple.

Kara got out of the car before Stealth and headed over to the doors.

Wait Kara! What’s wrong, what did I do? Asked Stealth

Kara turned around rather quickly.

Huh what is it? Asked Kara

Are you mad at me? Did I do something wrong? Asked as he cought up with her.

No, no not at all it’s just that I um will. Said Kara as she turned and looked

away as she blushed.

Stealth cought up with Kara now that he was standing in front of her; he placed his hand on the side of her face turning her to face him.

Whats wrong? Did I say something that upseted you? Stealth asked as he wrapped his arms around her pulling Kara close to him.

Kara placed her hands on Stealths chest.

You didn’t do anything wrong it’s just that I told you all that I did. Said Kara

Stealth smiled as he slightly leaning down kissing Kara deeply.

As stealth pulled away he watched Kara’s face closely.

Just so you know Kara I’m in love with you too.

Kara leans into him as she smiled. 

Now lets go inside and see who is all here and what not. Said Stealth

Okay lets go the longer we wait the harder it will be for us to find a place for everyone to stay at to night. Said Kara as she pushed open the doors of the temple.

    As Kara opened the doors to the temple the sound of screaming filled the air. Stealth pulled Kara back out of view of anyone that might be shooting or something of the sort. Kara and Stealth both slowly move through the open doors. Only to find the younger student there hiding hysterically crying and scared, Kara stood up and looked around at all the scared faces that looked at her and watched her ever so closely.

 

A girl went running up to Kara wrapping her arms around Kara crying as the girl tried to talk. Stealth entered the temple shortly behind Kara; as he looked around he walked over to Kara. The young girl who clung to Kara was Flora. Kara looked down at her then up at Stealth. Flora its ok Stealth and I are here to take you all to my place where you all will be safe. Okay! But first you have to let me go so I can make sure no is hurt. Kara said as she smiles at everyone. So Flora let go of Kara.

 

Kara went around the room check everyone out and see if anyone was hurt; but everyone one was just scared of what was happening.

Stealth went to clean out the back of his truck making sure everyone can sit.

One by one everyone piled into Stealth’s truck; most of the girls sat in the cab with him and the rest sat in the bed with Kara and her sawed off shot gun. Slowly they made their way to Kara’s place; as they pulled up into the drive way they where greeted by Ray, Zeal, Zero, and Zaek. All four stood there armed and ready for any attack that might happen. As Kara open the doors of her home she was greet by most everyone that was told to come here.

Okay, is anyone hurt or need any kind of medical attention? If so please go see Una she is the medic here. Kara asked as she went to see what rooms would be suitable for people to stay in.

Una if you need any help just ask some one! Kara said as she pull blankets down from the attic.

 

No I’m fine right now most of them that I have seen are more scared then hurt. But there have been a few with some cuts and scraps; other then that everyone is fine, lot of the young ones are hungry but I don’t know what you have for then to eat or I would have feed them. Said Una as she examined Flora.

 

Oh okay well then we have a small problem! I don’t think I have enough food for everyone to eat. But I do have away for use to get food with out leaving the house; but I will need most of the guys if I go. Kara said as she sat out the blankets and pillows.

How would you do that I mean it sound a little farfetched. Said Una as she helped Kara.

Will in the basement is a underground tunnel that my folks built just for this kind of thing; it goes to a hospital, hardware store, an armory, and a market store. Places I might need in to have access to. Kara said as she showed Una and a few of the guys. There is enough room in the tunnel to use a basket in it and to stand up straight in, my dad built it so he made it so he can use it too. Kara said as she grabbed a basket and headed into the tunnel with Una, Ray, Zero, Lucifer fallowing behind her.

As they reach the door of the Market Kara knock three time and the she opened the door.

Okay grab anything that you can and don’t  dilly dally we don’t want anything to find us. We have to be quick things might get crazy if we aren’t careful. Said Kara as she grabbed food they might need she even grabbed baby food for Lina. Okay did we get what we need? Asked Kara as she wait for everyone to get out the door.

Yes I think so and if we need anything else we will come back right? Ask Una.

Yes but it would have to be daylight before we do. Said Kara she locked the door.

Any other place we need to go to now or can they wait until daylight? Asked Kara as they headed down the tunnel back to Kara’s place.

No it can wait until tomorrow morning. Said Ray

Okay then now that we are back in the house I need you all to go up and check on everyone while I lock this door. Kara said as she put her shot gun down.

You don’t need any help? Asked Zero

Its not that I need help it the fact that I have to close it different from the way I open it to begin with and will I don’t want any one knowing how to do that until I need them to; okay. Kara said as she looked up at Zero.

Okay Kara holler if you need anything. Said Zero as he left the room.

Kara pushed the door closed and locked as she headed up to where everyone else was she stopped and looked back at the door  one last time only to watch the door be attacked. Kara ran back down to the door and hit a button by the door. What ever was on the other side of the door started to scream.

Kara slowly stepped back from the door making her way up to where every one is as she entered the room all the young ones where crying.

Kara what was that screaming? Asked Stealth as he looked up at her.

I really don’t know we’ll find out in the morning. Said Kara as she sat down in a chair. If it’s still there! But what made it scream like that? It sounded as if it was in pain. Stealth asked as he stood behind Kara rubbing her shoulders.

Okay I can tell you that it whatever it was really don’t like light so I’m guessing that is was a vampire. Said Kara as she leaned back in her chair.

What makes you think that what if it was a pissed off were-animal? Ask Una

No their screams are deeper then that was and plus were-animals aren’t sensitive to uva-lights. Said Kara

How do you know that it was a were-animal your not superman you cant see throw a steal door it’s not possible. Any ways superman is not real. Said  Zeal

Will because I had a new system put in after you should me that you could get in with out me knowing it, and you didn’t smell anything did you? Kara explained.

No I didn’t but that doesn’t explain how you know it was a vampire. Said Zeal

 

Well by the door is a button and that button is a switch that turns on eight uva-lights now if you’re a vampire that kind of light will hurt like hell; but if you still doubt me we can go down there and I can open the door and turn the lights on if you like. Said Kara as she got up out of the chair.

Now from what I have learned about vampires it that if one is hurt then a s**t load show up. Said Kara as she headed down to the basement with Zeal.

Specking of vampires where is Lucifer we can use him to check it out. Said Zeal in a laughing tone.

Kara turned quick kicking Zeal in the chest knocking the air out of him.

Don’t you ever say something like that again or you’ll be the bate and I will not save you even if you scream. And believe me I have no regrets for anything I have done in my life. That’s one reason why I’m head of our class. You have know idea who your playing with because I really don’t play well with others and that’s a promise. Kara said as she hit the button and open the door.

There in front of the door laid what look like a man hiding is face from the lights. Kara looked down at him as she kneeled beside him; placing her hand on his back. He jerked away hissing almost as if  he was afraid of her.

Are you the one who was screaming? Kara asked as she ran her hand down his back.

He indicated that he was the one who was screaming as he moved one of his hands out to touch Kara. As Kara ran her hand over is back once more she didn’t notice his hand moving toward her. Are these light hurting you? Kara asked as she sat side ways on the ground beside him.

No they are not hurting be any more; I screamed because I have not seen light in a while. The man said in a soft deep voice.

Okay are you human and if you say you are do you mind me checking? As Kara

Yes I’m human and no I don’t mind. Said the man as he slowly move his hand closer to Kara’s ankle.

Una brought Kara a knife and some silver water, which burns were-animals and vampires.

Okay I need a hand please? Kara asked as she looked at him.

He sat up and gave her one of his hands managing not to show his face.

Kara took the tip of the knife and pricked his finger making it bleed; she took his finger and held it over the cup of silver water. As the blood hit the water she watch the water turn bloody.

He is Human! Get him inside. Said Kara as she got up.

Zeal and Stealth help the man inside.

Take him in to the Kitchen and get him something to eat. Said Kara as she walked in to her bedroom closing and locking the door behind her.

 Thank you for feeding me and helping me. Said the man

I try to catch you guys before you close the door but then those lights they are so bright. Said the man

Let me see your face sir, I’m the medic here. Asked Una

He looked at Una show is pale skin and pale green eyes.

Una looked at them. There is not sign of burning, that’s a good thing. Said Una as she smiles.

As Kara was in her room she got undressed and ready to take a shower.

She turned on the radio in the bathroom then the shower. She had it she set to a warm cool waterfall setting. As she got in she start to wash herself. Kara watched all the dirt and blood run down her body. When she was done she got out and dried off.  As she walk out of her bathroom with her towel around her she found Lucifer sitting on her bed quietly waiting for her.

 

S**t! You scared me Lucifer. Kara said as she open her dresser to get clothes out. Sorry Little one I didn’t want to let myself out and have some one  you didn’t want coming in here and bothering you. Said Lucifer

With her clothes in her hands Kara went back into her bathroom and got dressed. She came out moments later in a blue tank-top and shorts and her hair pulled up and away from her face.

Did you get enough to eat? Asked Kara as she washed her face.

Yes I did and it wasn’t human if that’s you next question. Said Lucifer

As Kara dried off her face she turn to him. I wasn’t going to ask that. Said Kara as she walk over to Lucifer.

Lucifer stood up quickly taking Kara in his arms as he held her he notice that she smelled different then normal. Kara are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere. Lucifer asked as he sat her back down on her feet. No I’m fine what your smelling is me on my period. Kara said as she blushed walking over to her bed.

Oh okay! Said Lucifer fallowing her.

So what did you have my veggie vamp? Kara said as she put lotion on.

Veggie vamp!? Will if you really want to know I had dear and wolf. Said Lucifer.

Oh sounds good! Kara said as she stood up heading out to the kitchen.

As Kara walked into the kitchen the man looked over to her and smile at her; Kara smiled back.

Did you get enough to eat and enough to drink? Asked Kara

Yes thank you! By the way My name is Lylen. Said Lylen

How is Lina ? Asked Kara

Lina asleep now thank goodness oh and so are the other young ones. Said Una

Might I  ask what you two are talking about? Asked Lylen

My daughter and the younger students from our school. Said Una

Oh you have a daughter will that’s wonderful! Said Lylen

Thank you! Said Una

Lylen turned to Kara and smiled at her; Lylen stood up and walked over to Kara placed his hand on her face as he leaned in close to her.

Kara looked him as she slowly pulled away from him. Lylen stopped her from pulling away as he pulled her close hugging her close to him. Kara tried to pull away but couldn’t.

What are you doing Lylen? Asked Kara as she tried to push away

As Lylen held Kara in his arms he swept Kara off her feet. Everyone in the room just stood there as if their legs where stone.

LYLEN! What are you doing? Stop this put me down! I’m warning you! Kara insisted as she n kicked and screamed.

Lylen cared Kara back to her room closing her door behind him then locking the door as will. Now Kara my child is that any way to treat an old friend of the family. W-What! Old friend? I have never even met you before! Said Kara

Yes you have just don’t remember! Said Lylen as he sat Kara down.

If you say you know me then tell me something only you would know

About me or my family! Said Kara

When you where five your mother and father to you to the beach? Asked Lylen

Yes what about that day? Asked Kara

You and your family met up the another family they had a little boy about ten years old! Said Lylen

Yeah I remember that! What about it? Asked Kara

That was my family and me. Said Lylen

Oh prove it some how. Said Kara

Okay that’s  fine I can do that. Said Lylen

On your left shoulder is a scar you got it when you where run through the wood near your family summer home and you slipped cutting open your shoulder on a sharp rock. Said Lylen

Archer! So you’re telling me that your Archer? Asked Kara

Yes that’s what I’m telling you; you seem so shocked by that why is that? Asked Lylen

Hmm! Will because the last time I saw you; you where ten and looked like a geek but if you hadn’t been there when I fell I have a feeling I might not have lived that day. Said Kara

 

Oh I see but you where only five so I can’t hold it against you if you don’t remember much. Said Lylen

Oh thanks I think I mean wait um oh you know what I mean right? Said Kara

I wasn’t trying to insult you. Lylen said as he smiled

You didn’t insult me. Said Kara

That’s good I think anyways dose that matter? I mean with the whole we’re just friend. Said Lylen

Ok now you just attacking funny. Kara said as she turned to the door.

When suddenly the door swung open from the force of  Stealth kicking the door.  Lylen turned toward the door to see Stealth standing there look at him with anger in Stealth’s eyes.    

Kara are you okay did he hurt you in any way? Stealth asked as he made his way into the room watching Lylen the whole time except for a moment when he turned to see if Kara was in fact okay.

What the hell do you think your doing taking her in here against her will. Stealth yells as he balls up his fist to hit Lylen. Lylen stepped back to dodge Stealth’s punch. As Stealth swung again Lylen dodged once more.

 

Is that the best you can do in the way of fighting or are you just holding back on that? Asked Lylen as he dodged Stealth

No I haven’t even gotten started yet. Stealth said as he tried to punch Lylen again. 

Stop this right now before I start kicking someone’s a*s! Said Kara

Stealth and Lylen continue through Kara’s disagreement with their conflict.

I said stop it and I mean it! If I have to I will kick both of your asses and then we’ll see who is the bigger dick. I said as I stepped between the two men.

Stealth stood still as he looked at Kara; Lylen swung at Stealth accidentally hit Kara. Kara turn swinging her fist punching Lylen square in the face knocking him out cold.

Get this f****r out of here before I kill him! Said Kara as she walked out of the room and into the kitchen.

Are you okay Kara? Asked Stealth as he walked into the kitchen.

I’ll be fine I just need to be alone right now that guy really got to me.
