Lassitude

Lassitude

A Poem by Matilda 3000

Lassitude
Lying by the pool,
Nothing to do and no place to be.
He picks up the shiny coke can dripping with condensation.
Under the ring pull, out of sight,
A busy bee soaking up the sugary syrup.
He takes a big swig.
As his tongue swells and hives erupt in his mouth,
I don't know who is most surprised.

Ouch... and a unique twist to an un-unique image.
