Godzilla VS Reptar

Godzilla VS Reptar

A Poem by Jesse Lancaster
"

Hallelu.

"
lay my head down to rest
this congested, coalesced mess
in this fragile skull

drift into that deep stagnant darkness and pray
that tonight I won't stray from
that path I'm inclined to repeat,
stalk with cold feet,
but my heart and head
work in different ways--
collide and separate.

In the lull he'll cut the wires in my brain
as she emerges from the stains,
fumbles with fingers until they find veins, grasp and

It makes me sick.

Author's Note

Jesse Lancaster
Another intentionally unfinished poem, with a little haiku intro. Something new. I also tried messing around with some visual experimentation akin to my friend Adalia's poem "Cycle". Definitely not to the same effect, but I thought it'd make it a little more interesting.

Adalia's "Cycle"- http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/Elvy/782522/
Check it out, it's rad.
