A Lullaby From Eden

A Lullaby From Eden

A Poem by MH

Darkness fell on a winters day,
Covered the streets and kept children away.
Snow and frost gathered on the windowsill,
Fog was thick in the air.

The Church bells were ringing,
Angels sang their songs,
Mothers tucked their babes in,
Kissing smooth foreheads of children.

The Moon guarded their dreams,
Keeping nightmares at bay.
His big, bright face smiled
And stars sang with Him-
-A lullaby from Eden.
