Night

Night

A Poem by Kyle

If the Nights had never come we would have never existed
I was thinking we could carry on without Night, but the stars argued otherwise
Nights of firsts and lamentations provided the starry background to our demise
A demise that took years of growing up and defending our friends, a few we had to leave
A night of music and car rides, a star high in the sky
A star that isn't a star, She's the sun and she's coming to kill the Night
She has to feed her greed for everything that shines
