Goodnight

Goodnight

A Poem by Kyle

My mind is lost and my eye's are tired and I fear it's time my heart retires
Starved the land and drowned the sea', but without wings one is never free
Two bird's in one tree in happily ever after eternity
Where we wanted to be
Forever you and me
Where we are lost in thought
Stuck and caught in battle's fought
for the scars we bought
Black skies
Emerald eyes
Queen's die while kings lie
While Behind them Jokers fight for the leftover pie
Crushed and needing in fountains of bleeding
While the memories are leaving, and demons gather for the feeding
Light breaks the nights as life becomes a might
The two birds lose flight as their love say's goodnight
Goodnight to the songs who's Reign was long and the the night in it's every wrong
To the tree that gave us heat, and to the Heaven's where someday we will again meet
To the Battle's we waged, and the resulting scars that kept us caged
To the land, to the seas, to the skies kept forever free
Keep her safe, keep her calm, bust most of all keep her long
Someday I'll return and sing the song, the song that kept us up all night long
