Diamonds

Diamonds

A Poem by Kyle

We fell in love under the stars.
With the heaven's above I fell into only her eyes.
Emeralds only deserving of a queen.
Hair gently blowing in the breeze I felt the Earth shake in her presence.
Time stood still for the moment and the test of time was unseen.
Only beauty in her miraculous presence.
Only Beauty.
Everything that stood between myself and those green beady eyes was turned to diamond.
Shimmering in the moonlight like cold December flakes lofting through the air.
Everything was perfect.
Everything seemed so simple.
I saw all this from my knee.
I saw all things for the rest of our lives.
I saw our happily ever after.
I only saw us.

I'm no expert on poetry, so my feedback ain't the greatest. I thought it was a pretty nice poem, it flowed well, didn't quite get the bit about beady eyes, cos I normally associate beady eyes with things like rabbits, but that's just me though.
Overall pretty good :)

Kyle, beautiful words benefiting a most special lady. Liked everything but the "beady" eyes. Sounds evil or untrustworthy for such wondrous occasion. Richie B.
