Life in Death

Life in Death

A Poem by Christian Meffert
"

a poem about death. SUper orIginal I know.

"
As golden leaves fall
Death encumbers the sky
The floor a mosaic of decay
The chill permeates all that is living

And yet
I have not felt more alive
For without the coming fall
There would be no promise of spring

I'll go with that. The seasons will always come and go. Knowing what's around the corner can be a bit promising at the right time.
