5:23 AM

5:23 AM

A Poem by Mason

Clocks move forward.
Broken pocket watch stays.
It will always be
5:23AM, October 29th, 2003.

Their rooms changed
with darkness filling.
This room never changes.
This room never dies.

If this watch were
to ever strike 5:24,
I would be forced
to face the reality of this room.

Yes, I have the time.
It's 5:23 AM.
No sir, I am not mistaken.
My watch works perfectly.
There could not be
a better watch
in all of the world.

Amazing. What is reality!? and we do not learn why he does not want to move forward! I love it! It's amazing, I love it! Thank you for writing.

Thanks for the comments. Looking back, I wonder if I should add subtle details to this.
This is awesome ...not at all what I expected seeing the title, but quite brilliant.
