Testing...One, Two, Infinity...A Poem by MasonA response to Miharu's "Goodbye, Matthew." I highly recommend it. The second stanza makes more sense if you've read it.
From life's worst experiences,
We must manage to salvage all that we can; Strength, Honor, Dignity, Virtue. Though HE tore you down, He pulled you up. Life is a strange mistress. "Unforgiving," Some would say, But it serves to teach us. Life does not work for us: It works against us. We must learn to fight the current that is life's hardships, and at least reach shore or else be swept away and forgotten. A lucky few find themselves swimming up waterfalls, but to just survive life is a miracle in its own right. You survived this obstacle. Do just as well with the ones that are sure to follow.
