A Rose
A Poem by
Mason
Roses have more,
Meaning to them,
Than one could ev-,
er know.
A rose for you,
Means everything,
A rose that's blue,
Means more.
For when I get,
A look at you,
A blue rose has,
no thorns.
A red rose falls,
On broken legs,
Yellow follows,
in words.
When yellow grows,
Red tips, I know,
What we have will,
Mean more.
Peach roses shown,
Commitment's grown,
White seals the deal,
I swore.
But rose turns black,
I can't go back,
Red rosebuds grow,
no more.

Well I certainly didn't know that blue roses have no thorn. I haven't seen one myself. I like the way you utilized the different colors of this flower in order to show something deeper than just superficial looks. It's as if you just claimed roses as perfect reflection of love in good times and in bad.
