Love, the Poem

Love, the Poem

A Poem by Mason
"

As it is...

"
My love goes,
unchecked,
unappreciated,
un-
kindled...

Find it,
Where?
It lies,
It thrives,
It lives,
It dies...

For why do we love?
For why do we care?
For why do we...
anything?

Feel,
Fear,
Near,
Dear,
To us,
To you,
To whom?
No one.

Why?
Because.
When?
Whenever.
Where?
Wherever.
Pointless...
To you.

Angered?
Confused.
Shouldn't be.
But it is.
Exactly.
It just is?
Correct.
...Oh.

Short line cuts but very compelling. I see this poem as an attempt to encompass the different facets of love, a love the can bring fear and anger but still continuing on irrationally. I'm not sure I got exactly what you wanted to point out but I still think this poem is strong both in words and thoughts.

Keep Writing. ^___^

this had a wonderful flow. I found myself asking myself these questions you asked throughout this piece.

Interesting fact: live/lives is pronounced just as thrive or life. Though that is not conventional, it is proper.
