For all that it's worth, "I love you..."A Poem by MasonLife is full of experiences, and it's important to be conscientious of what you're feeling and why so you can empathize later and gain better knowledge and understanding of the world now, for later.
So, this is that feeling,
one I never understood until now.
This is that feeling that made me think, "Why would you do that? It doesn't make sense." I now know why she would. I now understand her pain, and also your excitement. She may not bruise my skin, but, with cold efficiency, she has bruised my heart with words that pierce like hot iron through ice. I feel my resolve melting away. I could not hold on if it were not for the love I have left beating in my heart. Blood curdles. Arteries become arid. The tissue blackens. The heart dies. The body dies. But love remains. As long as my love is strong, my heart shall endure, my mind shall endure, my patience shall endure; or if I fail, I have lost all, And gained nothing. Still, let it be known, I loved and lost: I tried and failed. My heart may have died, But my soul will have prevailed. © 2018 MasonAuthor's Note
