At One Time

At One Time

A Poem by Maskedthoughts
"

Just because something happens in the heat of the moment doesn't always means things will stay that way.

"
At one time your lips whispered with mine,
Our skin moved together leaving sparks behind.
Your chocolate eyes melted my resolves,
Your perilous words unleashed a new part within me.
I played with fire, I dared to get burnt.
You played right back, brushing off the cognition.
At that time we were young, lascivious and free.
At that time you were in to me.

At one time i thought things would change
But this time i realized...
--This is real life not my delicious fantasies.
At one time I would have been capsized
But it's what I've grown to expect.
At one time I would have given up
But this time it's different; I'm different.

i love this because i think it really captures that heat of the moment feeling and rushed tension that can happen between two people, but ultimately mean nothing. i think it actually flows really well!
