Choked by silence

Something you may have experienced, wrote this a while back.

Choked by silence
Gasping for air
Life isn't always fair
When we were young
We were taught to share
But we preferred to play truth or dare
It's rare to see that now
Everyone has moved on somehow
Your best friend
Has come to an end
Who knows me
No one really
That makes me feel kind of silly
But it gets chilly in this state
Of silence and fait
People are rating
And go on hating
What happened to all of the skating
Where are we now
A lost soul floating around some how
So what am I supposed to do now

Change - is not easy. Its a natural part of life - some people are more robust and resilient to change. At 45 I still greet my ex-school friends like we were at school the day before and that weirds them out but thats me - take it or leave it.
Change can bring fear with it but if we just adjust our perspective a little - look at how those who are successful deal with change and try to emulate. Not copy - a slight difference.
Awareness is the first step - exhibited by your poem - which it so honest, I applaud you. So you know you don't handle change well so learn how to deal with it.

This is very true. Where are we now. We are were we are meant to be. Maybe we get off course from time to time but we get there some how.

I disapprove with your authors note, everything we do is a manifestation of our emotions and when you're able to write with your emotions this well, it's pretty darn perfect. This poem reminds me of someone, good write.
