Haiku Mid-Afternoon Snack

Haiku Mid-Afternoon Snack

A Poem by Mark Pearce
"

An attempt at a more traditional style of Haiku. (More than just counting syllables.) I think the first one does it the best. The rest may be too sequential.

                        A golden window

frames the world - a butterfly

                        lights for the artist.

                        The wind blows.  Blossoms

                        fall.  Fallen petals create

                        the most fragrant path.

                        An oak leaf can be

dead red or dead brown - Spring

                        refreshes with green.

                        Snow covers the twig.

                        Life is something that cannot

                        be hidden away.

                        A radiant glow

from the sky - colors reflect

                        back so brilliantly.

                        A small toad has lost

its way home.  The homeless man

                        has nowhere to go.

Featured Review

Yes, Haiku in feel and more important; intent.
The left side reads so well besides the rest.
A good connection between man and animal,
flora, weather.
I like it when objects get all iced.

p.s. Should you want something specific of
mine to read I would say Hello Daddy and The Accident.
