A Paper Heart
Mark Pearce (c) 2009

                     A paper heart
                     Twice folded
                     And left on your desk.

                     It doesn’t appear to be
                     Anything special.
Just a red piece of paper
                     In the process of
                     Unfolding.

                     And the words
                     Written upon it
                     Don’t appear to be
                     Anything special.

                     But through your
                     Quiet interpretation
We find either that they are
                     Or that they are not.

I have written such notes when words were exhausted.

This piece is perfect!
