This is very sweet and short and to the point. The essence of love is inexplainable but I think you did a fine job and got as close, if not closer than any of us who try to do the impossible. I think what makes it more true to life is the fact that you even say that you cannot explain it.
The second stanza is truly wonderful; I found myself saying "Well, yes," to such a succinct, almost concrete, characterization of the inexplicable and unquantifialble. Short, but not truly spare--but certainly without waste or unnecessary ornaments. A very fine piece of work.
Oh this is charming, I really enjoyed it - a lovely flow to it. I note that you have a tendency to use capitals to begin lines but I think I prefer the modern habit of only using them at the beginning of a sentence. But that is a minor detail.
This is lovely - funny - philosophic and true! The never ending story, which began with the first creatures on earth and will take an end only with the extinction of the last living beings. It will never be completely definable, not even of the most famous scientific.
It's an easy read that lifts the spirit, and makes people smile.
Kudos
We can describe it, rejoice it, sing it, write about it, talk about it, but alas, can anyone really explain it? Many have tried, many have failed, so its a subject we poets will continue to aspire to explain, probably for an eternity. My favorite line" It leaps upon, like monkeys" without warning how more true a phrase could be written.
