Her

Her

A Poem by Mar

Shimmering,
Glowing,
Translucent.

Oh, how the light dances,
On the black canvas that is the soul.
Piercing the familiarity that is known,
And is used to shield.

The movements shift the canvas,
Creating more choreography than before.
It is all new,
Scary,
And my new home.

It is exciting,
Welcoming,
Caring.
Changing life in its wake.

Warming,
Coloring,
Staining my canvas with bright fluorescent images.
Whispering calmness into my breath.
