Grey Winter

Grey Winter

A Poem by Maryem Sumyta

Winter's sky have turned into grey,
Summer's warmth have faded away.
It's been so long since you're gone
Both my days and nights are stuck at the dawn.

No more tears falls on the floor
Little heart does not hurt anymore.
Quiet mouth doesn't talk without a reason
Straight lips don't smile at all.

I miss you so much, I can't tell
Everywhere, you're the only one I can smell
I'm tired of being here without you
Please come back to me, I'm so screwed.

Your poem is simply but emotionally laid before readers, that makes it special. Love has its way, kind or otherwise, recipients hurt or glow. If this is true, I truly hope things have turned out for you.. or will do so very soon - lovingly.

Your words flow, no specific errors, go with your own style, read the best poets/writers in the cafe, find the heart of their offerings by seeing what others think but, even then.. make your own decision. Maybe?

This is simply straight and cool, I like the curtness mixed with the mental lyricism/contemplation, reminds me of a non-African Langston Hughes approach to poem-writing; thanks for sharing. Consider writing more like this (for yourself); seems like it's 'good' for writer's block (no?). Thanx,
