Hopes

Hopes

A Poem by Maryem Sumyta

I hope one day when I’ll be gone

You’ll miss me but be missed by none.

But I’ve got high hopes yet

Wish to see where our story ends.

I don’t mind starting it all over again,

As long as I know something can be gained.

At the end of the day when I go to bed,

I think of her face in my head.

When its morning, I seek for her touch

How wonderful it would be to have her in my arms.

All the memories were left scrambled over by her,

Above the horizon among the stars.

But, I found the way to bury my love in the moondust

Looking back, everything looks like a lust.
