Daisy chains.

Daisy chains.

A Poem by Maryam

Funny isn't it?
The joyous flowers that welcome spring
Blooming in every back garden. Freely.
Yet when in certain hands
Their freedom is plucked away
Forced into each other. One, by, one.
Linked in a fragile bond
Still, they remain trapped
A man's leisure, is their end?
Loosely lingering off a wrist
No chance of escape
Until they are yanked off, and forgotten.
The same process repeated, year after year.
See you soon.

Absolutely agree with you
I don't think I'll ever make a daisy chain again, after reading this!
Great poem, I like it.
Well written

A very interesting piece of writing. On the third line I would prefer, "Freely blooming in every back garden." But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. Yay! But in general it's a good write. :D

Brilliant.

This a poem on how flighty people can be? Hurting others and forgetting in mere moments.

Yes flowers in a vase suppose like animals in a zoo.
