WINDOW OF MY SOUL

window of my soul
for so long
framed by illusion
today I lean over
in this imaginary ledge
observing my life passing by
sensing a change
intense and beautiful

a sweet wind
that swings the curtains
of my being

window of my soul

I don’t want sad landscapes
today I don’t want a rain
that doesn’t go away
I don’t want that pain
that doesn’t subside
today I want so much
to be an imaginary artist
of my destiny
grasp the brushes of my tenderness
my colors of love

and paint a landscape

without any bitterness
window of my soul

I wish this landscape

to be full of flowers
full of colors

and eternal

Yet more beauty flowing from your eyes upon the virgin page. This has a sweet quality and a self discovery element to it but it feels like someone becoming content in their own skin.

Wow I love how this piece comes together for me it’s a description of the inner soul wants and needs to be for filed to feel whole nevertheless it is beautifully written.

this is really lovely :D
I like the repetition of "window of my soul". like looking more closely to inner feelings or dreams :) "I wish this landscape to be full of flowers full of colors and eternal" - that is a great ending
love it :D

Superb work! I love the style, the painting, the verbiage. The beginning and the ending framed this poem to perfection. I absolutely love it!

Lovely presentation, Mary! The graphic is gorgeous and marries perfectly with your poetic observation of "life passing by".

"today I want so much
to be an imaginary artist
of my destiny
grasp the brushes of my tenderness
my colors of love
and paint a landscape"

I look forward to reading more.

My best,
Kelly

Happiness is a choice, a choice not easily made all of the time. I feel the frustration in your words; the desire is there, and acceptance will make it so. A beautiful piece.

A beautiful, lifting song of the soul... filled with a gentle courage to face the world with a wonder and joy that is often stolen by the rains and storms surrounding us... Yes, artists of our destiny... may it be.. may it be.

' I wish this landscape ~ to be full of flowers ~ full of colors ~ and eternal ' .. those last four lines are the perfect ending to a beautiful piece of writing. I'm left with a sense of calm and hope and the feeling that dreams can come true!

Favorited. I'm speechless....not many poets leave me speechless, but you did exactly that. This spoke to me on a very personal level. A writers soul is like an empty canvas I think. We can paint both our fantasy and reality. Your colors shine like a rainbow in this writing....simply gorgeous. 100/100
