YOUR FACE

YOUR FACE

YOUR FACE

your face has a certain absence
that makes me aware
a touch of melancholy
an expression of loneliness
that I complete

your face has such a tenderness
Woven by years of struggle
that natural longing of wisdom
A child expression
Begging caress

your face stays with me from dawn to nightfall
like a scene from a movie
that we never forget
a flash of hope, a shining star
That lights up my days

your face would never be painted
by the hands of Portinari or Rembrandt
no one can attain your boy’s soul
nor understand the traces
of your deep loneliness

when your face is smoothly drawn
like a cloud in the sky of my mind
I frame it with my emotion
and with the nail harvested from my soul
I hand it on the wall of my heart

Somewhat similar to the way a song brings back memories So do some faces do the same

Facial expression speak louder than words... nothing can replace those face to face intimate moments.
