BLANK PAGE

I narrowed my eyes
to retain your image
observing your tender hands

and your face immerse
in the pages of your favorite book
at that time
emotions bloomed in my soul
calm landscape, with a certainty

of your silent presence
your intelligent eyes
roaming the book pages
wordless
you flip through the book of my soul
knowing by heart every chapter
your hands handling my pages
so carefully
 as you hold my body
and peel off with soft touch
all my defenses
when we hug
totally naked
in the absence

of clothing or secrets
we
are one
free of worries or fears

and in lengthy kisses
and caresses felt so
we engrave with our own body
between whispers of love
more than a blank page
in the history book
of our lives

The title of this piece is grabbing, and very profound, in my opinion. I love the way you work the concept of a blank page into this piece a lot, nice write.

Maybe I’m wrong but what I got from this piece blank page being a metaphor to our/my lord nevertheless if it’s about a love one/ partner it’s still an excellent write.

Dear Mary so so very nicely written, I think that describing your partner as an excellent book metaphor is very well selected. You know each other and by reading all the pages over the years, and over and over again, you never get bored with each other unless it is a deadly dull book ;) yours is never... But how wonderful it is to leave a blank page to allow for all the good things to come. This has hit me, like all of you love poems, Wonderful gives me the "love-shivers" as I like them... *.*

What a beautiful glimpse of two lives truly melted into one... love, trust, security, and secrets, all shared and kept safe within your pages... A wondrous look at a life well lived...

I like to have this blank page to fill with my everyday's life....
