Tender Years

Tender Years

A Poem by Honey-Bee

Early Tender years
Young love with no fears

Holding hands under the stars
Cursing in cars

Nights at the Drive in
Watching movies and necking

I love those tender years
Sweet memories with happy tears

Waiting for a phone call
From boyfriend that did enthrall

They were like a shining knight
We had fun and did not fight

Playing on the beach all day
Was my favorite get away.

Riding horses by the shore
Watching the seagulls soar

Watching the sun sink in the ocean
With pleasure and emotion

Painful were goodbyes
parting under darken skies

OOH! Tender years
How I long for you with tears

I told my kids. Stay kids as long as you can. Being adults isn't the fun it can seen. I liked the poetry. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
