I washed my hands of you

I washed my hands of you

A Poem by Honey-Bee

I miss you and you don't know it
I love you and you can't see it
You buried your head in a cloud
And embraced distrust and discouragement
You were blinded by the yellow lights
And then you ran fast through all the red ones
Raging, Laughing, screaming, and accusing
You then declared all people are the same
I held out my hand to you  and you didn't take it
I then watched you disintegrate into nothingness
I washed my hands of you and walked away.

Thanks again for the awesome reviews!
I really like your style here. It sounds very like an impulse to write down your feelings, your sadness...Your expressions sound very vivid and original, I like the way you put adjectives and colors together in a post modern manner. (at least for me) The illusions and disappointment in love is one so common theme in poems, as well in life :) we all should take our lessons, most of all the study from them. Your piece make relief at the end, the same way as with your "fire" poem. Walking away is something important to do, when you are hurt so much. My favorite lines:

You buried your head in a cloud
And embraced distrust and discouragement
You were blinded by the yellow lights

Hard to slow down some people. We must leave then to their own greed and need. I like the complete poem. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
