Fire Is In His Gaze

Fire Is In His Gaze

A Poem by Honey-Bee

Fire is in his gaze

As he melts the abused years

of my heart away

A raging fire is in his heart
To burn all the chaff
That once kept us apart

As he lets the embers cool
He turns the soil
With his shovel and tools

Then he plants the seed
And waters it
Keeping out all the weeds

When the flowers bloom
He breathes on them
a sweet smelling perfume

A beautiful and hopeful poem.

It is always good when we care take down walls of safety and open the door to love again. No weakness in the excellent poetry.

Everyone has fire in their gaze under the right circumstances, the right trigger. We all hope to find it in others towards ourselves and to show others it in our eyes. Wonderful as always.

Thanks Wynter!
I particularly enjoyed the second stanza, "to burn all the chaff that once kept us apart". An excellent line, with a unique take on the metaphor. Thanks for reading.

Your very welcome. :-D
Seductive and its has a certain swag to it. Its beautifully penned. BTW I had read this prior to the read request but my puter decided that it needed the dust blown out to stay on. LOL Well done with this one. Such imagery and freshness.
