skating on ice

skating on ice

A Poem by Mary C

i loved you cold-
     ice skating across lakes

my feet flew
  grappled for balance

when i went down
  you fell too
       and blanketed me

  i adored your lips
  and the way a rise
  of clouded air
    escaped

hovered near my face
    and released
        a thousand small cravings

Always a good day to be someone you love on a cold Winter day with free time and skating. Thank you for the amazing poem.
