grape, orange and cherry

grape, orange and cherry

A Poem by Mary C

On thick legs and spineless disposition, she balances choices.

Sometime between a steak supper
and CanadaAM in the morning,
she measures  worth on bathroom scale
and merit in inches.

Her potential lay crystallized,
beneath microwaveable dinners,
and Popsicle in three flavours

exactly two more
than she has options

Yes Mary you certainly have a way with words and you somehow seem to balance your ideas in a way that gives us enough information to taste the idea you're presenting without too much detail to be completely obvious... I like it a lot... very thought provoking! :) Great write!

Here I see expressed her attachment to herself as a body, her as a spirit lies dormant and out of sight.
Is this what you wished to say?

Very interestingly put, and surprisingly heartbreaking. Well done.
