slow circles

slow circles

A Poem by Mary C

fingertips trace
            slow circles on his temples
           i gaze down
          barely whisper-

                   "god...     i love your mouth"

he pauses
       searches my hooded eyes

     "i meant it...     you know?

            - i'd move   heaven and earth for you"

my back arches involuntarily

                        " you already are..."

You say so much in so little within these lines. One can definately sense the connection between the speakers and the love between them. Lovely work.

A fine poem, with a subtle feeling of sensuality and a clever use of the spoken word,a well observed situation presented lyrically, good work.

I love writers that can stretch style and make an incredible piece with such few words. I love the use of quotes, very effective.
The expression "hooded eyes" was very unique and meaningful, kind of a disguise, a cover, if you will.
Excellent piece!
