Mom

Mom

A Poem by Benedict Mdluli
"

A tribute to my mom: I realized if you can't love your mom you will never love anyone or anything in this world, Mom is turning 52 this year her first born 24 (Me) Lol.

"

I grew up wondering why?

You left me when I was only

nine, I believed & was made

to believe you cared less of

me.

Time went by I would get

kicked out of school for fees.

I realized when I met you &

stayed with you that, that's

the reason why you had to flea.

So that you can fend for me

I have seen you defiling all

the odds, sending me to

school. Sleeping on an empty

tummy crying with one eye.

But all that didn't take away

your love away from us, me

and my sister we are grateful,

on my side I'm graciously blessed

for such a marvel of a mother, I

have seen you depressed.

I won't forget that you fought

your battles, you told me prayer

is the way, Jesus the answer &

God doesn't get drunk & I learnt

to work hard & not believe in

lucky.

Mommy you are the best,

We don't pray for riches

but success. Your God shall

remain our God, you did your

best now its up to us to do

the rest, I'm an Accountant

now I shall serve well & Pray

 to God.
