The Dream In AdversityA Poem by Benedict MdluliI lack not the thirst for success.
I have lived to be rich & have status, but life is not bigger than papers. All we need is prayers. And death tamed all of us.
Oh! I want a great life, filled with your plans but that they're for my prosperity , keep my heart heed & my spirit of generosity.
I willingly wake up to work hard towards the mark. I want to stand out
, is that too much to ask? even the greatest have bowed down to you, but today I press pause I still have a future to catch, I dare you wait, I say wait.
Allow me to shine like the stars in the dark at night, at the end of it all I don't want questions did I ever laugh enough, love & smile like a mother, for fatherhood is a hearsay, and life an essay. © 2015 Benedict Mdluli |
